He was born in a poor family in France.He completed his degree in chemistry at Paris.
Pasteur was appointed professor of chemistry at the University of Strasbourg in 1848, and became the chair of chemistry in 1852.
In 1854, he was named dean of the new faculty of sciences at Lille University, where he began his study on fermentation.
Pasturisation is a process when liquids [i.e.milk, beer] heated at 60° to 100° celcius, the germs get killed and it became free of germs.
Vaccination-Pasteur introduced the importance of vaccination to world.He invented vaccine on Rabies and Anthrax.
He was founder of Pasteur institute of Microbiology.
